Formal aspects of contributions submitted to Scientific Research Journal
-
Articles and reviews submitted to the journal must be in Spanish, German, Italian, or English and must be original and not approved for publication by any other entity. They will be submitted through the journal's platform and any information that could identify the authors should not be included throughout the document. The authors will be notified on the designated page on the platform. The articles will be reviewed with the Turnitin anti-plagiarism tool. Any article found to be more than 20% plagiarised will be rejected immediately.
-
The submitted works should not exceed 10,000 words, including the bibliographical references and footnotes. They should be written in Calibri font, size 12pt with a line spacing of 1.5, and the page setup should have margins of 2.5 cm on all sides. On the first page, the title in Spanish and English, a Spanish summary of no more than 250 words and another in English, as well as 3-5 key descriptors of the article in both languages, will be included. It is optional to add another language such as German or Italian.
-
Priority will be given to articles that present research results following the IMRYD format (Introduction, Method, Results, and Discussion).
-
Do not include empty spaces within the text to place tables and figures. Adequate referencing is sufficient (e.g. Figure 1, Figure 2, etc.). All tables and figures must be numbered and presented at the end of the document.
-
The author must follow the guidelines of the American Psychological Association (APA) 7th edition regarding the way of citing and presenting the bibliography. The DOI (Digital Object Identifier) must be included for all bibliographic references that are available.
-
All submitted proposals will be reviewed by the Editorial Board and then undergo a peer-review process. The review will be conducted in a "double-blind" manner to ensure confidentiality and there will be at least two evaluators per work.
-
Articles that do not comply with this guideline will be returned to the author for necessary revisions.
-
Before the final publication, the proofs will be sent to the author for review. The authors have a maximum of ten days to correct the proofs. Significant changes or additions to the text will not be allowed during the proof review.
-
The authors will not receive any payment for the publication of their articles in the Scientific Research Journal.
-
The Scientific Research Journal does not assume responsibility for the ideas and opinions presented in the articles by its authors.
Reviews: Critical book contributions in any of the languages of Scientific Research Journal (Spanish, English, or Portuguese) are accepted as long as they do not exceed 1000 words. These will be reviewed by members of the editorial board of Scientific Research Journal.
The publication process in Scientific Research Journal begins with the author registration, which allows them to access the submission platform and submit all necessary documents for their manuscript:
-
The manuscript doc file itself.
-
An Excel file for tables and figures if applicable.
-
A PDF file of the Responsibility Statement and Copyright Transfer.
-
An ethics committee report for original research is necessary if needed.
-
A note on conflicts of interest if the authors consider it necessary.
The manuscript registration process as part of the editorial management of the Scientific Research Journal is considered complete and formalized once all required documents have been submitted and a code and receipt date have been assigned.
The following stages continue the editorial management:
-
Preliminary Evaluation: The manuscript will be evaluated for its overall content for the proposed section, its compliance with formal requirements, its organization, its current relevance, and its editorial interest. The evaluation may result in a rejection or a selection for a thorough review, and any decision will be notified to the main author.
-
Peer Review: The manuscript is evaluated by expert reviewers in the topic and/or methodology using a double-blind review system. The final decision can be rejection, not suitable for publication, acceptance with recommendations, or acceptance after being reviewed by at least two reviewers. In special cases, the final decision will be made by the Scientific Research Journal's Editorial Board. The corresponding author will be notified of any decision. In case of acceptance with suggestions or acceptance, the author will receive a note with the suggestions indicated by the reviewers and/or the Editor-in-Chief.
-
Editing: The editing phase begins after receiving the corrected version of the manuscript and additional files. It includes processes such as rewriting and style adjustment, review of the beginning and end of the manuscript, translation of titles, abstracts, keywords, and design. Direct communication with the lead author is maintained during this stage. It ends when the authors approve the final edited version. The selected articles will be the property of the journal, unless the lead author requests in writing to withdraw the article before the final version is approved by the research team.
-
Publication: In this stage, tagging, pre-publication on the journal's website, and assigning a DOI are carried out.
-
Dissemination: This stage includes disseminating the manuscript in databases and social media platforms.
